Encryptec Limited was formed in 2003 by Gareth Bult, former founder and Managing Director of Frontier Internet Services Limited.

As one of the first UK ISPs, throughout the 90's Frontier pioneered early Internet technology such as dialup access, email services, domain name registration and web hosting.
