We provide a range of support services including local network and local office support. Please see below for details or feel free to give us a call for more information.

Network Support

If you spot a problem or potential issue with our network or with one of the services we host, you can report the issue either by emailing support@encryptec.net or if you have appropriate login details, by logging a ticket with our Ticket Tracker. Obviously there is no charge for using this service however if the issue does not lie with our network, we won’t necessarily track the problem to it’s source.

Customer Support

We can provide contract and non-contract support services to customers either via telephone or via our online ticket tracking system. Contract customers may log issue tickets free of charge, these are then worked on at an hourly rate. Non-contract customers are charged per ticket raised in addition to time spent.

Issues raised via telephone are charged per instance at the rate indicated by your support contract (in additiona to the hourly rate).

Tracker Access

If you are an encryptec customer and do not have access to the Ticket Tracker and would like access, please email details to support@encryptec.net and we will email you login credentials. If you are not currently an Encryptec customer you will need to call us on 0845 5082719 and register your company details before proceeding.

Web Design

This is often thought of as a very expensive proposition and not for the faint of heart. We aim to change this perception, we’re no longer in the Web stone age there is no longer any excuse for web design companies to quote thousands of pounds just for basic web designs, let alone for static web site designs.

If you really want a very complex design, then it can certainly take a long time and end up being costly. However, if you are interested in a clean design, good performance, good features and expandability and a very cost-effective price, consider our entry level design package for only £200 and end up with a website not unlike this one!

Hosting

Our main focus for new customers is Wordpress. That said we have a large installed base of Plone customers who we continue to support and develop applications for. In each instance, the design and implementation can be carried out either by the client, by a third party on behalf of the client, or by Encryptec.

From a technical standpoint, each instance of a product is a complete stand-alone environment to which the client is given management rights and access to the appropriate control panel, or in the case if Plone, the Zope Management Interface (ZMI).

Programming

Most implementations can be accomplished using standard tools and pre-existing software , however in instances where what’s available isn’t enough, we can code up whatever you need in either Javascript, PHP, Python or C. (or indeed a number of other languages should the need arise)

Domain Names

Domains are used in every aspect of Internet usage and typically represent your commercial image to other Internet users, so your choice of domain(s) is important. Assuming the domain(s) you wish to use are not already taken, there is no limit to the number of domains you can register and point at your services. For anyone interested in doing business in Europe who doesn’t feel like jumping through hoops to register a .fr , .de or .it for example, you might consider adding a .eu domain to your portfolio.

EMail Hosting

This is something many companies tend not to think twice about; “an email account is just something the ISP gives out and you can also use free accounts from companies like Google, Yahoo and Hotmail”.

Not so, there is far more to email than meets the eye. Basic “POP” email services essentially queue up incoming mail, then empty it down to your PC when you check your mail. This immediately poses a number of problems;

• What happens if you lose your PC either through theft of fault? – you tend to lose all your email!
• What happens when you go home in the evening? – typically all your email is sat on the office PC!
• What happens when you go away on holiday? – if you’re not careful you could end up with a week or two’s email sat on your laptop or even worse, sat in some Cyber cafe on a Greek island!

So POP is old technology and certainly not a commercial grade email solution. Consider an IMAP based solution such as the Zimbra based service we offer which solves all these problems and more!
