Mail Boxes (Zimbra)

Our main customer facing email service provides access to email via IMAP4 which allows you to keep all of your email on our servers. Combined with our webmail service, it means you can log into your email account using a web browser from anywhere in the world and collect your email in real-time. As your email is stored on the server, so is your folder structure, web filtering rules etc, so you get the same consistent interface from whereever you access your email. The system also provides an address book and calendar for keeping track of your appointments. In addition to webmail access, you can also use Outlook, Evolution, Thunderbird, or almost any other email client that supports either IMAP or POP3 protocols.

Groupware Service (Zimbra)

This provides all the facilities of the standard service but also allows users to share calendars and address books with other users. Typically this would be used by a small company with a number of accounts to share contact lists and appointments.

Mail Forwarding Services

We offer a number of different varieties of mail forwarding to suit your needs. Which one is appropriate for you depends entirely how "you" want to run your email service. Here are the options and who they would typically suit;

MX Forwarding

This service is for anyone with their own stand-alone mail system who wants 101% control over their email. Any email destined for your domain is sent to one of a number of servers that "you" define (and typically manage) which process the email for your organisation. This option is generally not recommended unless the customer has a high degree of skill and is prepared to make a notable investment in appropriate hardware. We do not charge for this service.

Domain Forwarding

Unlike MX forwarding, email is first delivered to Encryptec's mail relays where it undergoes a number of transformations including the marking and/or removal of spam and viruses. Once all these operations are complete, appropriate mails are then passed on to your own mail box.

Mail Forwarding

All email for a given address is forwarded to a specific email address somewhere on the Internet. (i.e. an existing mailbox with another provider) This service behaves very much like Domain Forwarding in that all mail passes through Encryptec's servers, however you may have a number of email addresses, each forwarded to different mailboxes.

Mail Duplication

We are able to duplicate email for any given address and deliver it to a number of local or remote destinations. This is useful if you use more than one mail system or if you want to archive your email on one server and actually use the email on another. It can also be useful in combination with Mail Forwarding if you want to pass mail to a number of recipients, for example mails to support@domain could be passed to a number of technicians simultaneously.

Please note that some of these services are included with other packages and the charges may not apply. For example if you have a domain and website you will automatically receive a free MX or Domain forwarding.
