In addition to Internet bases services we also provide a range of specialised hardware particularly for companies who want to run their own physical hosting equipment, or indeed for ISP’s.

2U Super Server (ENC_X6_2U)

The machines we used to provide our services are built in-house and are available for sale. Currently we use the following specification

• 2U Rackmount server (with rails)
• 510 Watt PSU
• AMD Phenom II X6 3.2GHz CPU clocked to 3.8GHz
• 16Gb of DDR3 (1333) RAM
• Twin 1Gb NIC
• SATA CD-ROM Unit
• 6 Bay Hot-swap drive unit
• 6 x 300Gb WD Veliciraptors, 4.2ms @ 10k rpm

The machines comes with Linux pre-installed with storage architecture configured to the customer’s specification. (we recommend either RAID10 or RAID6 with LVM on top) We will also include KVM cloud virtualisation, DRBD network RAID, OpenVPN and other options at the customer’s request.

Price: £2699 + VAT.

Performance Stats (may vary depending on customer choices)

• CPU Rating – 44,000 Bogomips
• Disk throughput 500-600 Mb/sec
• Power consumption 600-800 Watts.
